I think the first step would be to diversify from the polos. get some great crisp short sleeved shirts, such as this edun one in white. also, you can go for a double knit shirt from kenneth cole, which is a bit more structured than a polo, but more lightweight than a sweater. and pair either with a great pair of linen pants. summer should be about crisp cool looking clothes. these striped linen pants from br would look great with anything.

      Jul 06, 2007
Since these are so bright, i would tone down the rest of the outfit. i would wear a pair of casual cropped pants and maybe a tank that picks up a bit of the color of the shoe, but is also muted.

      Jul 06, 2007
I think that banana republic has some great work pieces. the key is to find fabrics that either breathe well or allow for air to circulate. i like a flowy blouse that keeps you covered up but cool, some cropped pants and some heels.

      Jul 06, 2007
First, you should determine your face shape and look for a contrasting frame. if your face is round, look for glasses that will create more angles and lengthen your face. square - go for shades that are curvier that soften your face. oval - almost anything, but make sure it's not too small. over sized shades are still in and classic ray-ban aviators look good on almost everyone.

      Jul 06, 2007
I think these are really cute, but also in darker colors for a baby boy. all 3 of these would go well with your baby legs.

      Jul 06, 2007
I would find ways to dress up your accessories. i'm not sure what color your polo is, but maybe you pair it with a really great colored belt and some cute matching flats. then, add some bangles or a cool necklace to finish it off.

      Jul 06, 2007
I would say, start off with skinny jeans, which are still hot right now. then, add a rock tshirt, some great black heels or cool wedges and a studded bag. you could also replace the tshirt with a longer more dressy shirt and some chain necklaces to dress it up a bit.

      Jul 06, 2007
I like the one on the left. i think it's hip and modern but still more stylish than sporty.

      Jul 06, 2007
I like it, but then again, i'm partial to urdu. it's cool, graphic, and great summer colors.

      Jul 06, 2007
These are pretty graphic, so you'd have to be wearing a more toned down shirt and pants to get away with this. only the last one seems like something you might wear.

      Jul 06, 2007
Only to bed, this is not party material.

      Jul 06, 2007
If you want to add a little lift to your rear, look for jeans that have higher back pockets that tilt slightly inward. try the brands: james jeans, william rast, ranahan, nobody, siwy jeans(in rose and hannah)

      Jun 19, 2007
Not quite your style. it's kind of weird - and not in a good way ;)

      Jun 19, 2007
I think both wrap shirts and tshirts with great details will look cute and hide your tummy. also, try empire waist dresses or trapeze shirts which are taken in at the top and then hide everything from the bust down.

      Jun 11, 2007
It really depends on what you mean by a 'serious' interview. some industries are very particular on their 'uniform' look. banking would require something more toned down and serious in black or navy and other more creative industries would allow you to get away with something more fun. all of these suits are great individual pieces that you could mix and match with other items. if the job is more serious - go with the basics and add a light patterned shirt underneath with pumps. if it's more creative, wear one of the lighter linen suits with a great pop of color in the shirt like a nice graphic print with great jewelry and sandals. good luck!

      Jun 09, 2007
I think hoodies, jeans and tshirts are all really good basic elements and the key is to pair those items with things that are a little more dressy. i would start with pairing jeans with this great yellow shirt and some cute white flats. or you could pair any color tshirt with this neutral bubble skirt and some espadrilles. and this sundress would look cute with a casual hoodie and some cute flip flops. your friend will look more stylish but will still feel comfortable.

      Jun 09, 2007
I would accent the parts of your body that you do like, like your legs. you can pair some great long sleeve lightweight shirts with a pair of crisp shorts that doesn't leave you all covered up but looks stylish and put together. or i would wear a great sundress with a lightweight sweater over it.

      Jun 09, 2007
For the ocean guys, it's really all about the cut. their clothes have a great cut and fit for each of their body types. that's what you want to look for in a great linen jacket. pair it with a great colored shirt (yellow or anything bright) and a pair of ray bans and you can't go wrong.

      Jun 09, 2007
There's this great dress at anthropologie that comes in black and pink that i think would look great in either color with your belt. you could dress it up with great black sandals or you could go more casual and wear black flip flops and some nice black and white bangles.

      Jun 09, 2007
Cute jacket! i would either wear it with a cute flowery top and wide leg pants - leave the jacket unbuttoned so the print shows. add some cute espadrilles or sandals and simple jewelry. or you could pair it with a colorful sundress and some strappy sandals for a fancier look.

      Jun 05, 2007
Here are three good options under $150. the first is from fossil, the second is from dkny and the third is from michael kors. all at nordstrom's.

      Jun 05, 2007
I think a cute sundress with a great pair of strappy sandals and some simple jewelry. i love the color of the first dress. this dress with a pair of silver sandals would look great!

      Jun 05, 2007
For casual clothes, check out: martin and osa for sports jackets, shirts and ties, check out: zara for shirts and sweaters, check out: club monaco for basics - tees and shorts: american eagle

      Jun 05, 2007
I think you should wear the last one - brown and orange stripes and wear it with a brown sports jacket, jeans and a pair of great brown shoes.

      Jun 04, 2007
It really depends on what top you're wearing, but i think you could make the shoes really pop by wearing something white. if you're wearing something more neutral, go with the neutral pumps, or if you're wearing something that has a print or some earth tones, go with the brown sandals.

      Jun 04, 2007
I like the white shirt, it's a very versatile shirt that you can dress up or down and also layer for any occassion.

      Jun 03, 2007
Here are some cute options. i really like the tweed one - i think it would look great on you. the wine colored one might be more of a fall cap, but it's a nice color for you.

      Jun 03, 2007
      Cool remix, i like it!

      Jun 03, 2007
I think all of these things would look great on rochele. my friends have told me both of these sites have some cool stuff. good luck!

      Jun 03, 2007
A couple of ways to dress this up. if your vest has a slimer fit, you could wear a shirt and tie underneath. you could also pair it with a tshirt and more structured linen shirt. or you could pair it with a tshirt and a striped sweater. all of these are better than just a fleece. stay warm!

      Jun 03, 2007
Yellow is really in right now and i think this would be a great color on you. delia's has some cute yellow tops right now.

      Jun 03, 2007
Depends on what you're looking for. in general, i think the bigger department stores like macy's and nordstrom's have the best clearance if you're willing to look through a lot. if not i think the best time to try and get good deals is when the season changes and all stores are stocking new stuff. fall and spring time have the best sales. also, web stores like bluefly have some great deals as well. happy shopping!

      May 31, 2007
White watches are very in right now, esp. for summer. i think it's a great color that will look good on anyone and it will match everything.

      May 22, 2007
I'd go with the first one, because it's bold and edgy. it'll make you seem confident. good luck!

      May 22, 2007
I think if you like it, you should keep it. in the picture it doesn't look girly. i think it's really cool and simple, seems like a great piece to add to any outfit.

      May 22, 2007
Shirt from banana republic, sweater from anthropologie, shoes from piperlime.

      May 22, 2007
It's all about the layers in sf. you really need to dress in multiple layers so you can change as the weather does. pair this shirt and sweater with a great pair of jeans and these cute flats and your set. also, bring a shawl along for night time.

      May 22, 2007
A great fitted jacket over a great dress is instantly classic. pair it with some jewelry in red or yellow for a pop of color.

      May 22, 2007
Here's another outfit - great pants and loose shirt with a more strutured jacket.

      May 22, 2007
I think the key is to buy several key pieces that can be mixed and matched together to form different outfits. i think separates are the way to go, you'll be more comfortable. the key is that each outfit should be somewhat structured.

      May 22, 2007
There are some great comfortable stylish shoes now. check out these brands for more: ecco, hushpuppies, bostonian, fitzwell, timberland, and rockports.

      May 22, 2007
Sorry but no. i think these should only be worn for gardening/medical residency or if you're under the age of 10. other than that, buy a pair of tevas or rockports if comfort is your main concern.

      May 21, 2007
I would go with a velvet jacket, a sequined tie and vest and a pair of satin black pants.

      May 21, 2007
Here's a site that has some cool vintage tshirts. also check out threadless.com which has great tees as well.

      May 19, 2007
I think you should wear a relaxed pair of linen cargo pants, like the link below, a casual, but somewhat structured shirt and a great pair of shoes. women always notice the shoes, so make sure that they're not old and worn because it'll ruin your outfit.

Re: what should sherman wear on a first date?

      May 18, 2007
All three of these jackets are similar but have some different details. i like the last one the best.

      May 18, 2007

Re: i need some good slim and modern black dress shoes. something with clean lines but that is really comfortable. i hate my feet, they always hurt. any thoughts? comfort and style, where are you?

Re: i'm going to hawaii and i have a nice dinner planned with my wife. can you recommend a casual, beach outfit?

      May 11, 2007
Re: can you recommend a sweater that would match this shirt? i want to bring out the subtle green stripe.

      May 11, 2007
I love the wooden watch on the right. i think it's the perfect mix of retro and modern at the same time. the other one has a cool face, but the band is plain leather. go for the wooden one!

Hi Amina, I saw your "needs" under your profile, and I think that I can possibly help you with the things on your list; the retro sneakers you can find a wide variety at So-Ho Lab on Market street, the jeans that fit well, try a brand called "not your daughter's jeans" sold exclusively through Nordstrom, the red patent shoes, 9-West Valour Series, and as far as the black heels - I love anything by Aldo, and bonus, they're having a sale right now too!
